Chatwee Update

Update - There's been some technical difficulties launching Chatwee onto our website so we will not be moving to Chatwee on Thursday.

As soon as we fix this issue, we'll announce another date for launching. We're really sorry for the delay in Chatwee, thanks so much for your patience.

Post of The Month (September)

Maisy is our Post of The Month winner voted by the community for the following post:

"Hey Shaunie,

I care. I really relate to what you have been experiencing with the house falling apart, and things not getting fixed due to general shame of the state of the house and not knowing where to begin fixing things or who to contact (you don't want to come across rogue tradesmen). Not even having adequate heating and hot water. And clutter. Everywhere. It's horrible to live in such circumstances, I know. It's hard as well when you see everyone else living a 'normal' life and yet being unable to talk about your situation."

  • Free Air - Petrol Stations

Anyone know which chain of petrol stations give you free air for your car and which charge?

And also which have good systems?

I remember ages ago going to one where you program in the machine the PSI you want and it pumps the tyre until it's exactly right. Just can't remember which station it was.

    BTW Useful link below:

Thanks, I'll check it out, might go to Asda tonight.

I've noticed some pretty big fuel saving since pumping up my under inflated tyres and from a safety point of view also important to make sure they are at the correct pressure.

I don't know why they simply don't make it part of the yearly MOT, ... but then againthe government would get less money from petrol taxes. I'm saving like 15% on fuel since inflating them correctly.

Imagine if everyone saved that and the governemnt got a 15% reduction in income from fuel tax.

you mean some places charge you for air??
Of all the mistakes you've made, the best are yet to come.

The Esso garage up the road dont charge, they dont have a nifty thing where you put in the tyre pressure though. You've got to do it manually.

No I mean have it checked at least once a year... just the same way brakes, lights, etc are checked.

I've had my current car for 3 years and only checked it for the first time a few weeks ago.

My old car had normal tyres and you could just tell by looking they were low, but my current car has low profile tyres and you can't tell by looking. I just alwasy assumed they were OK because they looked OK.

They were 22 psi instead of 32 psi so they'd lost 10 psi over 3 years which is actually very good, the average tyre can lose 1 psi per month through natural leakage.
