Post of The Month (August)

Meggles is our Post of The Month winner voted by the community for the following post:

"my recent post and a comment from another user has made me realise that self care is so important.

I wanted to start a thread in the Health and Wellbeing section of the boards about self care.

Self care is provided by you, for you

I know a lot of us are struggling at the moment with different aspects of our own lives, and sometimes we get so lost in these we forget to take time for ourselves. This tread is, a Reminder to you to take time out for yourself during the difficult times.

down in the comments I would really love for people to share ideas and tips about self- care. to remind ourselves and others in the community.

My way of self care when i recognise ( or someone recognises i have neglected myself) is:

Take a walk and admire whats around me ( take as long as needed)
treat myself to a bath with a bathbomb and bubbles ( bubbles are important)
make a hot drink and just sit down with a film.

Please feel free to share your ideas!

The Mix have a guide to self-care which you can find here."

  • Odd shaped boobs?!

Does your weight affect the shape of your boobs? because I am a little overweight, and my boobs seem to be sort of odd looking?! they aren't pert like in the mags..almost tubed shaped? could this be cos I am a little overweight and I am therefore not in proportion?

    Hi confuseddotcom ,

Thanks for posting on here, It is very common to feel self conscious about certain parts of your body!! and often some things you see yourself, other people do not see, as when you are conscious of something you are likely to focus on it much more!!. If you feel that you would like to carry out some exercise and diet to tone your body up and lose weight it may be worth speaking to your G.P or a fitness professional to get some advice!!.

I have added some information on Body Image for you to have a look through!!

I hope this has helped!! Keep posting!! and let us know how you are getting on.

    Take care.

there is actually a condition called tubular breasts. Its not uncommon. Theres lots about it on google, and you may even be entitled to have it corrected if it is a big issue for you.

Am i the only one who is now thinking of Mike Oldfield ?
I've got plenty of baggage and i don't expect anyone to carry it for me. But you can have a good rummage through it if you'd like.

Generally as a rule of thumb I dont think there are ANY breasts which are exactly the same. To me mine are different shapes but no boyfriend has ever been able to find the differences that I see.
I still hate mine but I'm growing used to them! Takes time to accept ourselves
A few simple acts of love, multiplied over and over again can change the world

Don't worry about them not being the same as the women in the magazines but as Suzy says there's a condition that can make them look "odd" and there is help out there.
I'm clever, I just don't have the qualifications to prove it!
            I can, I will, I must succeed!

"I guess it's fairly simple to pull women in a club. You stand at the door of a club (on the inside), wait until a woman is passing by outside, grab her arm or sleeve or whatever and just pull.

Whether that would turn out well in the end, of course, is another matter."
