Post of The Month (August)

Meggles is our Post of The Month winner voted by the community for the following post:

"my recent post and a comment from another user has made me realise that self care is so important.

I wanted to start a thread in the Health and Wellbeing section of the boards about self care.

Self care is provided by you, for you

I know a lot of us are struggling at the moment with different aspects of our own lives, and sometimes we get so lost in these we forget to take time for ourselves. This tread is, a Reminder to you to take time out for yourself during the difficult times.

down in the comments I would really love for people to share ideas and tips about self- care. to remind ourselves and others in the community.

My way of self care when i recognise ( or someone recognises i have neglected myself) is:

Take a walk and admire whats around me ( take as long as needed)
treat myself to a bath with a bathbomb and bubbles ( bubbles are important)
make a hot drink and just sit down with a film.

Please feel free to share your ideas!

The Mix have a guide to self-care which you can find here."

  • how to deal with flirty girls

they're a menace to society & there's no way to deal with them.

    they're just attention seekers

they just want to get around

it's a crafty, evil technique for social climbing shown by social butterflies

ok now that i've got ur attention, out of what i've mentioned - what do people agree with? i've been hurt/mislead by a lot of flirty girls so don't have the best outlook, but maybe I just need a different pov

I think girls and anyone should only flirt with someone they like..or someone that knows that they are just messing around..

I like to flirt and muck about but have given off the wrong message before..

      You sound bitter man!

mate, its time u learnt that flirting is something everyone does with everybody else, it doesnt guarantee a relationship or even a shag. get over it.
And despite all my rage i'm still just a rat in a cage

Not all girls are outrageous flirts, its a minority giving the rest a bad name. Myself, I'm subtle. Hold eye contect a bit longer than I should, keep looking over but look away when he looks, that type of thing Some girls just offer themselves ona plate to anyone which is a bit sad. The best way to deal with them is either to ignore them or flirt with their mates, which shuts them up

Men who have a pierced ear are better prepared for marraige - they've experienced pain, and bought jewellery.
