Are you a counsellor in the final year of your Diploma course or a recently qualified counsellor who wants to support their accreditation by counselling young people in an agency setting?

Are you interested in undertaking a trainee counsellor placement whilst working with young people?

Join our in-house digital counselling team to offer short term interventions to young people who might be accessing a counselling service for the first time.

The Mix is the UK’s free confidential support service, providing essential support for young people under 25 who need help and don’t know where to turn.

We offer free, in-house telephone counselling to young people aged 10-25 years.  We also offer Webchat counselling for children and young people aged 10-18 years. It’s an exciting time to get involved with counselling volunteer work, learn telephone and webchat counselling skills, receive free supervision and offer short term interventions to young people who might be accessing a counselling service for the first time.

All volunteers must be members or student members of a professional body such as: BACP, BPS, UKCP or equivalent. A minimum of level 4 Diploma in year 2 (final year) or already qualified at level 4

If you want to make a difference to young people’s lives, we want to hear from you! Please note that are counselling placements are a volunteering opportunity, and we would ideally need a commitment of one year.
