Youth Charity, The Mix, alongside media industry giants including Facebook, Sky Media and ITV came together to raise £55,000 to offer essential support to young people across the UK. The top media agencies competed against each other to test their wits at the 6th annual Get Qu?zzical event.

Get Qu?zzical is supported by media marketing and digital agency m/SIX and sponsored by leading global analytics technology company MiQ, and global audit verification company Adloox, to help bring this engaging quiz night to life. The event blends a variety of top PR, creative, and news agencies together with the shared goal of supporting The Mix and supporting young people. The event was hosted by Mark Durden-Smith at Sway Bar.

Chris Martin, CEO at The Mix, says: “The media industry plays a huge role in the lives of young people and is a significant employer of those under 25. It is fantastic to see so many big players from the media world coming together to give back and ensure that young people who are struggling get the help and crisis support they need through the vital work of The Mix.”

Jess Burley, Global CEO of m/SIX and The Mix Trustee, says: “It’s absolutely incredible that so many people have got behind this event to support The Mix. Our combined fundraising efforts will make a huge difference in supporting The Mix, enabling them to raise awareness of their vital help service so that they can support thousands of young people in need. It is undoubtedly a tough world for those starting out in life today, but together, we can ensure that The Mix is there for them, whenever they need help.”

Alistair MacCallum, UK CEO at m/SIX, says: “Everyone had such a great time and we managed to raise a significant amount of money for such a deserving charity, helping young people across the UK. Our team at m/SIX have done a great job at both raising awareness and much needed funds for The Mix. I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who participated in this event, it was truly fantastic.”

Richard Dunmall, Global President at MiQ, says: “MiQ is thrilled to support The Mix with their 6th annual Charity Quiz Night. We fully recognise and support the importance of young people being aware of, and able to be open about, all forms of mental health.”

The £55,000 raised from the 6th annual Get Qu?zzical event will help grow The Mix services, which helps support children and young people find support with a variety of issues. The donation will go towards funding The Mix’s services to support young people in the UK.

About The Mix
The Mix is a free, confidential information and support service for under 25s, helping over 2 million young people in the UK each year.

Whatever issue a young person is facing, The Mix is always here for them – online, over the phone or via social media. We connect young people to experts and their peers to talk about everything from money to mental health, homelessness to jobs, break-ups to drugs and more.

Today’s young people face an unprecedented range of challenges including a rise in mental health problems, soaring rents, high levels of debt and a lack of job opportunities. They will be the first generation worse off in physical and emotional terms than their parents.
