Service Associate – Freelance
Come and join us at the Mix, an innovative digital charity providing essential support for under 25’s. We are looking for a passionate service associate with helpline experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be offered shifts in two areas, training and service delivery.
They will provide: high quality training to build confidence in volunteers, alongside managing the smooth running of helpline shifts by monitoring our channels, making safeguarding decisions and providing support and feedback to volunteers. The role will help develop and grow our helpline volunteer team to provide support and information through our telephone, webchat and email support channels to under 25 year olds across the UK.
Candidates will be confident in leading groups of people in a face to face setting and have a keen interest in drawing out skills in people. Experience working/volunteering on a similar helpline is preferable, whilst confidence using IT systems is a must. You will have excellent verbal communication skills and an ability to work on your own initiative.
We will provide full training as part of the role. This role is in a freelance capacity, and will fluctuate in terms of the regularity of work available.
Location: The Mix’s London service hub.
