All of our volunteer roles require a DBS (paid for by us). For more details on the DBS process, please click here.
As a peer-supporter, you will become a core member of our online peer community and provide regular support to members of our community that are looking for people with similar experiences to talk to. This will involve you replying to posts providing active listening, giving your own thoughts, sharing experiences if you feel comfortable and giving words of encouragement. Sometimes, having a group of people you can trust to talk openly and honestly can be the key to making meaningful steps forward, whatever the issue.
This is an informal role with no minimum hours to commit to – volunteer as little or as much as you like. Once you sign up, we will be in touch to talk through next steps for your application.
Please note:
- We can only offer references after 6 months of volunteering
- If you are less than 6 months off your 26th birthday, we will not be able to accept your application
