Training Officer
Come and join us at the Mix, an innovative digital charity providing essential support for under 25’s. We are looking for a passionate service associate trainer with experience of training or experience of a helpline role to join our team. The successful candidate will be offered shifts in the delivery of helpline training for new helpline volunteers at The Mix. This will include training both Digital Connector (webchat) and Call taker volunteers. They will provide high quality training to build confidence in volunteers, bringing them, to a standard where they are ready to independently take conversations with vulnerable young people seeking support. The role will help develop and grow our helpline volunteer team to provide support and information through our telephone, webchat and email support channels to under 25 year olds across the UK.
Candidates will be confident in leading groups of people in an online setting and have a keen interest in drawing out skills in people. Experience working/volunteering on a helpline is preferable, whilst confidence using IT systems is a must. You will have excellent verbal communication skills and an ability to work on your own initiative. We will provide full training as part of the role. This role is in a freelance capacity, and will fluctuate in terms of the regularity of work available.
