Forget about the one who forgot about you

A collection of songs about heartbreak, for when you just need to let it all out

Hi, I am moving all the posts from the The Mix’s sister website Madly In Love to Your Voices.

I created this playlist over the course of one year. They aren't particularly my favourite songs but they describe everything I've been through and where I want to be. People say we're too young to love, it feels like no one understands. Love is like oxygen. Have you ever missed someone so much it hurts? All you can think about is them. You get shivers all down your spine, arms and legs and you think it's because they're thinking about you too, but then you realise they don't care anymore and they've found someone new. It hurts and sometimes you just want to cry but you can't, you have to stay strong all day long and pretend you're fine. When listening to these songs you can let it out, you don't have to pretend. You'll get those shivers that remind you of him/her again, and you'll learn to forget about the one who forgot about you. This playlist has helped me dig myself out of the black hole I got chucked into. Nothing describes me better than music.

'Chasing cars' made me question - would they give up what I would give up for them? 'Who you are' has shown me that I am who I am, I don't need to change for anyone or anything. 'Never ever' has taught me that others are in the same situation and I'm not alone. 'We found love' describes the feeling that nothing matters when you're with the person you love, and how when you aren't with them it's torture. 'For the first time' helps me see the other person's perspective, and describes how once you've found that person you don't want to ever let them go. 'Adore you' makes me think "BOOM! are you listening? Why have I only just met you?!" 'Sparks fly' is love in a song. Finally 'love the way you lie part 2' describes how once you've fallen in love someone it never ends; no matter what they do or say, you can't help your feelings for them.
