For the past 9 months I've been with my Moroccan boyfriend; I live in England, and the whole long distance thing is pretty tough. These songs sum up various moments of our relationship throughout the whole time we've been together, from the heartbreaking goodbyes to the most beautiful reunions. The songs also fit the vibe of our relationship - chilled, summer surf tunes with a bit of old school r&b in there. The most important song for us is probably 'Zina' by Babylone, an Arabic song my boyfriend has been known to sing to me on occasion. Zina means beautiful, and the song is about a guy being reunited with the one he loves. Patrice is my boyfriend's favourite artist and 'You Always You' is my favourite song of his that relates to our relationship. 'La Mar' by The Beautiful Girls is a very special song to me, as my boyfriend played it to me in the first week we met. I instantly connected the lyrics to having to leave him and return to England.

The general vibe of the playlist is songs that both me and my boyfriend love and have special connections with, and which relate to our story. Long may it continue xx
