The Mix are very excited to announce a brand-new partnership with SH:24 for Mental Health Awareness Week 2024. The collaboration will provide resources and content to further support young people with their sexual and mental health.

But who are SH:24 and why does it matter?

SH:24 is a free online sexual health service, delivered in partnership with the NHS. SH:24 makes it easier for you to manage your sexual health by providing free at-home STI test kits across the UK and Ireland.

They also offer specialist advice and information. Quick, discreet and confidential.

Their mission? To improve sexual and reproductive health by enhancing access to safe, user-centred, truly holistic and effective care.

SH:24 are passionate about delivering discreet, convenient and clinically safe experiences, commissioned to deliver free services in various areas. Outside these regions, they offer affordable sexual and reproductive health services via their sister service Fettle.

To find out more about our service and what’s available for you, be sure to check out their website.

And why are you collaborating?

The Mix and SH:24 believe a healthy sex life and positive wellbeing go hand in hand. If we look after our sexual health, we’re looking after our mental health.

Not many organisations have yet to highlight the link between these two topics. We want to be one of the first.

The Mix continues to be the UK’s leading support service for young people. SH:24 continue to be pioneers in revolutionising access to sexual health information and advice. Together, we believe we can make a positive difference on how young people talk about the things that matter to them.

SH:24 and The Mix will work closely to develop new content, enhance existing resources, and optimise their respective platforms. This will help us to reach a wider audience of young individuals across the UK. We’ll aim to raise awareness, reduce stigma, and empower young people when it comes to their health and wellbeing.

Zoe Bailie, Deputy CEO, The Mix said: In our commitment to supporting young people’s sexual health, we’re thrilled to collaborate with the outstanding online sexual and reproductive health service SH:24. Together we aim to deliver accurate, trustworthy information directly to young people through digital platforms, ensuring accessibility and empowerment in every click.”

Emily Jackson, Social Media Executive, SH:24 said: “We are super excited to collaborate with The Mix to deliver a variety of content on all things sexual health and mental health across our social media platforms! We aim to make sex education and awareness as accessible as possible to everyone and we hope this collaboration does just that.”
